Looking For The Perfect Location At A Low Cost? Delaware Has Just What You Are Looking For . . . Easily accessed from New York, Baltimore, and Washington D.C., Delaware's compact size makes filming in a variety of locations a piece of cake--the length of the entire state can be traveled in approximately two hours. In addition, Delaware has no sales tax and a low accommodations tax--8 percent. Other fees associated with production--property rental, lodging, support services--are very reasonable when compared with other areas of the country.
The mission of the Delaware Main Street program is to provide Delaware's historic commercial districts with the tools to promote economic stability in business and workforce and to retain and enhance their downtown's unique sense of place.
Delaware has ranked 16th overall in Economic Dynamism according to the 2007 State New Economy Index. The six components making up this overall rating were; Gazelle Jobs (2nd), Job Churning (19), Fastest Growing Firms (14), Initial Public Offerings (28), Entrepreneurial Activity (50), and Inventor Patents (13).
